Traffic on Needham Street. The best word to describe it is: bad, but we can’t use just one word to describe the traffic that will result if Northland is allowed to build 1.9 million square feet of development, including 800 apartments on Needham Street, we need two: much worse.
Northland has paid for studies and has created multimedia-rich presentations to try to convince the city council that the traffic is not as bad as it is and that traffic resulting from the proposed development won’t be that much worse. We think that these studies are inaccurate, inadequate, and incomplete (please see our slides below).
However, no study can match your experience — if you have experienced the pain of driving down Needham Street; if you have chosen to avoid the area and its shops/restaurants because of the traffic — then we need you!
